According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, 1 in 2 Pakistanis say public confidence in the Army has increased after carrying out successful negotiations with the Tehreek-e-Labaik protesters.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “The army played a pivotal role in the negotiations between the government and the Tehreek-e-Labaik protesters. Some believe that after the military role, the public confidence in Army Chief Qamar Javed Bajwa has increased, while some people hold the opposite opinion. Do you think it has increased, decreased or there is no difference?” In response to this question, 51% said it has increased, 25% said it has decreased and 24% said there was no difference.
