1 in 3 Pakistanis think that they spend very little time with their parents.

According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, 1 in 3 Pakistanis think that they spend very little time with their parents.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked “Considering the following people, please tell how much time you spend with them?” In response to this question, 37% of Pakistanis said they spend a lot of time with their parents, 32% think that they spend very little time while 21% think they spend appropriate amount of time with them. For their spouse, 34% said that they spend a lot of time with their spouse, 30% think that they spend very little time while 19% think that they spend appropriate amount of time with their spouse. Similarly, for children 35% think they spend a lot of time with their children, 27% spend very little time with them and 18% think they spend appropriate amount of time with their children. In case of friends, 19% claimed that they spend a lot of time, 43% said they spend very little time with them, while 29% said that they spend appropriate time with them. For relatives these figures are 16%, 49% and 28% respectively.
