1 in 5 Pakistanis (21%) believe they cannot count on their family for help and support.

According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, 1 in 5 (21%) Pakistanis believe they cannot count on their family for help and support.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “Using 1 to 5 scale where 1 refers to “completely disagreed” and 5 “completely agreed”, Please tell me how much do you agree or disagree with the following statement: I can trust my family/members of the household that they would help & support me.” In response to this question, 33% said completely agree, 34% said somewhat agree, 10% said neither agree nor disagree, 15% said somewhat disagree and 6% said completely disagree. 2% did not respond.
