According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, 11% more parents rate their own upbringing of children better as compared to their neighbors’ upbringing.
A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces, who were parents, was asked “How would you rate your upbringing of your children and your neighbors’ upbringing of their children? Do you think it’s very good, good, appropriate, bad or very bad?” In response to this question, 29% Pakistanis said that their upbringing is very good as compared to 14% who had similar view of their neighbors’. Similarly, 48% and 52% of Pakistanis viewed their own and their neighbors’ upbringing of children as good, respectively, 19% said their upbringing is appropriate and 24% said the same for their neighbors while 3% Pakistanis think that the way they are upbringing their children is bad as compared to 4% of Pakistanis who have similar thoughts for their neighbors’. 1% Pakistanis think that their upbringing is very bad and 5% have the same view about their neighbors’ upbringing of their children.
