A global survey conducted across all continents in 19 countries shows that 18% globally see it as their most important national problem. In Pakistan the figure is higher than global average at 37%. Two other related issues, unemployment & poverty are probed separately and perceptions about their importance as national problems will be reported in the next part in the series.
The global survey was conducted in 19 countries across the globe covering Europe, Americas, Asia and Africa. The global sample comprised 11,293 men and women, as well as those belonging to various age, income, education and linguistics groups including Pakistan. The respondents were asked; What do you think is the most important problem facing your nation today? Responding to this, 18% believe that Economic problem is the most important national problem of their nation today whereas in Pakistan 37% believe that economic problems are the most important.
