2 in 5 Pakistanis (42%) opine that tolerance among people in Pakistan is decreasing.

According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, 2 in 5 Pakistanis (42%) opine that tolerance among people in Pakistan is decreasing.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “The main purpose of celebrating the Global Day for Tolerance is to spread tolerance among people. Do you think tolerance level among people in Pakistan has increased, decreased or there is no difference?” In response to this question, 42% said that tolerance levels have decreased, 25% said that they have increased and 32% said that there is no difference. 1% did not respond.
