According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, 44% Pakistanis say that if Asif Ali Zardari was head of state, the economic situation of the country would have been better or no different.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “Suppose that Asif Ali Zardari was the head of state instead of Nawaz Sharif, would the economic situation of the country have been better, worse or there would not have been any difference?”  In response to this question, 22% said it would have been better, 56% said worse, while 22% said there would not have been any difference.
