55% married Pakistanis say they have consensus of opinion on political matters with their partners; 44% say otherwise.

According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, 55% married Pakistanis say they have consensus of opinion on political matters with their partners; 44% say otherwise.

A nationally representative sample of married men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “How often do you and your life partner think alike in the following matters?” In response to this question, for religion, 77% said that they and their life partner think alike, while 23% said otherwise. For moral values, 65% said that they and their life partner think alike, while 35% said otherwise. For social issues, 61% said that they and their life partner think alike, while 39% said otherwise. For politics, 55% said that they and their life partner think alike, while 44% said otherwise and 1% did not respond.
