A significant majority of Pakistanis (67%) believe management of cleanliness in their area’s mosque is better compared to their area in general.

According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, a significant majority of Pakistanis (67%) believe management of cleanliness in their area’s mosque is better compared to their area in general.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “Compared to your area, how is the management of cleanliness in your area’s mosque?” In response to this question, 67% said it is better, 14% said it is worse and 19% said it is the same.

Rural Urban Breakdown:

Insignificant rural-urban difference was seen in the results.

Provincial Breakdown:

In Punjab, 62% said better, 16% said worse and 22% said same. In Sindh, 79% said better, 5% said worse and 16% said same. In KPK, 60% said better, 30% said worse and 10% said same. In Balochistan, 93% said better, 2% said worse and 5% said same.

The results show that holistically across all four provinces, majority believe cleanliness in their area’s mosque is better than that of the area in general.
