According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, A significant majority of Pakistanis (72%) are satisfied (very or somewhat) with the performance of rangers in Karachi Operation, satisfaction has been on the rise since October 2013.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “Please tell us, with regards to the ongoing Karachi Operation, to what extent are you satisfied or dissatisfied with the performance of rangers?” In response to this question, 35% said very satisfied, 37% said somewhat satisfied, 18% said neither satisfied nor dissatisfied, 6% said somewhat dissatisfied and 2% said very dissatisfied. 2% did not know or did not wish to respond.

Trend Analysis:

The same question was asked in October 2013. In 2013, 28% said very satisfied, 33% said somewhat satisfied, 18% said neither satisfied nor dissatisfied, 16% said somewhat dissatisfied and 3% said very dissatisfied. 2% did not know or did not wish to respond.

In November 2014, 47% said very satisfied, 36% said somewhat satisfied, 6% said neither satisfied nor dissatisfied, 3% said somewhat dissatisfied and 7% said very dissatisfied. 1% did not know or did not wish to respond.

Comparing the 7 waves, satisfaction with the performance of rangers in Karachi Operation has increased from 2013 to 2014. Satisfaction decreased relatively in 2015 and 2016, although higher in comparison to 2013.
