According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, 79% Pakistanis cite gas load shedding to be a severe problem (very or somewhat) in their area; 9% more rural than urban residents say gas load shedding is a very severe problem in their area.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “How severe is the problem of gas load shedding in your area?” In response to this question, 45% said the problem of gas load shedding is very severe, 34% said somewhat severe and 21% said not severe at all.

Rural Urban Breakdown:

In urban areas, 39% said the problem of gas load shedding is very severe, 41% said somewhat severe and 20% said not severe at all. On the contrary in rural areas, 48% said the problem of gas load shedding is very severe, 30% said somewhat severe and 22% said not severe at all.

Comparing the two regions, 9% more rural than urban residents cite gas load shedding to be a very severe problem in their area.
