Impact of Unemployment: More than half Pakistanis (57%) opine that unemployment raises crime rate in the society.

According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, more than half Pakistanis (57%) opine that unemployment raises crime rate in the society.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked “In your opinion what is the impact of unemployment on the society?” Responding to this, 57% said increase in crime, 43% said delayed marriages, 39% said lack of law and order, 36% said it resulted in search for employment opportunities abroad and 35% said increase in poverty.
