On 17th July 2018, Gallup Islamabad held a session on Behavioural Economics for its summer interns. This was conducted by Dr. Umar Taj, currently a Research Consultant at the firm. Umar has a Masters from the London School of Economics and a PhD in Decision Sciences from the University of Warwick.
The session introduced the interns to the field of Behavioural Economics and helped them understand the basics of this field. The session focuses on explaining what behavioural economics is with the help of illustrative examples and research findings and the terms commonly used in the field.
