The results of a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan revealed that majority of Pakistani men give high 41% or modest 42% importance to the education of prospective wife when making marital decisions. Only 10% disregard it. In a survey a nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces were asked the following question In terms of education, when you select a proposal how much would you prefer for an educated one?
Responding to this 41% said that that they highly prefer an educated woman where as 42% said that they modestly prefer an educated woman. However 10% would prefer a non educated one and 7% did not give a view.
