According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, Dominant majority of Pakistanis (64%) claim that they were affected (very, somewhat) by mobile signals jamming during Muharram.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked “Recently, the government had shut down mobile signals during Muharram. How much were you personally affected by this?” In response to this question, 28% said they are very much affected, 36% said somewhat affected, 21% not much affected, 13% said not affected at all while 2% did not know or respond to the question.
