According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, Majority opinion in Pakistan split on whether women should host Islamic teaching programs on TV or not; 49% opine they should not host while 44% opine they should host, gender divide visible.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked “During Ramadan some of the Islamic teaching programs telecasted on TV are hosted by female presenters. Some people oppose female hosts for such programs whereas some people think that there is no harm in it. What is your opinion on this?” In response to this question, 49% said women should not host such programs, while 44% said there is no harm in it. 7% did not know or did not wish to respond.
