Majority Pakistanis (57%) believe that unskilled labor is underpaid.

According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, 57% Pakistanis believe that laborers are receiving lesser wages for the amount of effort they put in.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “Some people say unskilled laborers are receiving less for the effort they put in, but some say that they receive a wage in accordance with the effort they put in. Others say that they are given more than the effort they put in. What is your opinion?” In response to this question, 57% said that labor is paid less wage for the amount of effort they put in, while, 34% said that they believed labor was paid a wage in accordance with the effort they put in. Another 8% said that they believed labor was given a wage more than the effort they put in. 1% said that they did not know or did not wish to respond.
