Majority Pakistanis (71%) believe that Rangers’ operation in Karachi has led to decrease in crimes in Karachi.

According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan,71% Pakistanis believe that the Rangers’ operation in Karachi has led to a decrease in crimes in Karachi.

A nationally representative sample of adult men and women, from across the four provinces was asked, “Please tell, has the Rangers’ operation in Karachi led to an increase in crimes in Karachi, decrease in crimes, or has it not led to a change in the situation at all?” In response, 71% said that it led to a decrease in crimes in Karachi, 23% said that it led to no change in the situation whereas 4% said that it resulted in an increase in crimes. 2% did not respond.
