Majority Pakistanis support foreign investment by Saudi Arabia and China in Pakistan. 70% Pakistanis oppose foreign investment by India in Pakistan.

According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, majority Pakistanis support foreign investment by Saudi Arabia and China in Pakistan. 70% Pakistanis oppose foreign investment by India in Pakistan.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “Please think about the following countries and tell to what extent do you support or oppose the investment made by each in Pakistan?” In response to this question, for Japan, 43% said strongly support, 31% said support to some extent, 17% said oppose to some extent, 7% said strongly oppose and 2% did not know or did not wish to respond. For Russia, 29% said strongly support, 30% said support to some extent, 24% said oppose to some extent, 12% said strongly oppose and 5% did not know or did not wish to respond. For Germany, 31% said strongly support, 28% said support to some extent, 24% said oppose to some extent, 12% said strongly oppose and 5% did not know or did not wish to respond. For Britain, 30% said strongly support, 28% said support to some extent, 22% said oppose to some extent, 15% said strongly oppose and 5% did not know or did not wish to respond. For America, 22% said strongly support, 26% said support to some extent, 23% said oppose to some extent, 24% said strongly oppose and 5% did not know or did not wish to respond. For Saudia Arabia, 65% said strongly support, 20% said support to some extent, 10% said oppose to some extent, 3% said strongly oppose and 2% did not know or did not wish to respond. For China, 62% said strongly support, 19% said support to some extent, 11% said oppose to some extent, 6% said strongly oppose and 2% did not know or did not wish to respond. For South Africa, 27% said strongly support, 27% said support to some extent, 21% said oppose to some extent, 17% said strongly oppose and 8% did not know or did not wish to respond. For India, 11% said strongly support, 16% said support to some extent, 22% said oppose to some extent, 48% said strongly oppose and 3% did not know or did not wish to respond.
