According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, nearly 2/3rd Pakistanis (69%) believe that the Karachi Operation is unbiased, 30% say it is biased.
A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “Some people think that Karachi Operation is biased whereas others think it is unbiased. What is your opinion?” In response to this question in September 2016, 30% said biased, 69% said unbiased and 1% did not know or did not wish to respond.
The same question was asked in October 2013. In 2013, 26% said biased, 71% said unbiased and 3% did not know or did not wish to respond.
In November 2014, 25% said biased, 68% said unbiased and 7% did not know or did not wish to respond.
Comparing the public perception in 2013 to 2016, there has been a 4% increase in proportion of Pakistanis who believe the Karachi Operation is biased and a 2% decrease in the proportion of Pakistanis who believe the Karachi Operation is unbiased.
