Nearly 2/3rd Pakistanis are pessimistic about complete eradication of corruption from Pakistan.

According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, 2 in 3 Pakistanis are pessimistic about complete eradication of corruption from Pakistan.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “Please tell to what extent do you personally agree or disagree with each of the following statements about corruption. [There will always be corruption in Pakistan so there is no point in trying to fight it]?” In response to this question, 35% said they strongly agree that there will always be corruption in Pakistan, 28% said they somewhat agree, 19% said they somewhat disagree, 13% said they strongly disagree and 5% did not know.

Millennials Vs Others:

In response to this question, 31% millennial respondents (aged 18-30) said they strongly agree that there will always be corruption in Pakistan, 30% said they somewhat agree, 19% said they somewhat disagree, 17% said they strongly disagree and 3% did not know. On the other hand, 37% other respondents (aged 30+) said they strongly agree that there will always be corruption in Pakistan, 28% said they somewhat agree, 19% said they somewhat disagree, 12% said they strongly disagree and 4% did not know.
