Only 38% Pakistanis Eat In Restaurants At Least Once A Year Eating Out More Common Amongst Urban Residents 44% Than Rural 33%.


The results of a Gilani Research Foundation survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan indicated that only 38% Pakistanis eat out in restaurants at least once a year. Dining out is more common amongst urban residents 44% than rural 33%.

In a survey, a nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces were asked the following question How often do you eat out in restaurants? Nearly a third 36% says they never dine out, while 25% say they dine out occasionally. Of the 38% who said they dine out regularly, 6% go to restaurants at least once a year, 6% go once in six months, 10% eat out once every three months, while 16% eat out at least once a month.
