According to a survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan The kite flying festival of Basant continues to be controversial in the public debate in Pakistan. According to a recent Gallup survey 32% supported its observation while 50% opposed it. The remaining 18% said they were neutral and would consider it a matter of personal choice.
