According to a Gallup & Gilani Pakistan National Survey conducted in the year 2009 (09 years ago) respondents were asked, “What is your opinion about China’s general performance in the last year, was it good, bad or neither good nor bad?” In response to this question, 66% said it was good, 13% it was bad, 5% said it was neither good nor bad while 16% did not know or respond to the question.
Comparative Picture: The question was asked again in 2018 to enable a concrete comparison. In 2018, 65% said China’s performance was good, 11% said it was bad, 15% said it was neither good nor bad while 9% did not know or respond to the question.
According to public opinion, there has been 1% decline in the proportion of Pakistanis who think that China’s performance has been good, while 2% decline in the proportion of Pakistanis who think that its performance was bad since 2009.
