According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, 1 in 2 Pakistanis (49%) claim they are now spending more time doing household chores than before the imposition of lockdown. 20% more females than males report the same.

A nationally representative sample of adult men and women from across the four provinces was asked the following question, “Since the start of lockdown, are you doing household chores e.g. cleaning, cooking etc more, same as before or less as compared before imposition of lockdown?” In response to this question, 49% say they are doing more household chores than before the lockdown, 13% say they are the same as before, 38% say they are doing less chores than before.
