  Meets Tony Blair

Ijaz Gilani attended an informal meeting on Tony Blair's initiative to meet with the scholarly community of Muslims in Pakistan. The meeting was held at International Islamic University, Islamabad amongst the other attendees were the British ambassador in Pakistan and Pakistani ambassador in the UK. The meeting was conducted by Tony Blair and the Chairman of the Foreign, Relations Committee in the Senate of Pakistan. Tony Blair was particularly interested in the issue of Radicalization of Muslim Youth in the UK and across the world, as well as the possibility of inter-civilizational dialogue rather than clash of civilizations. Tony Blair and other expressed a keen interest in the findings from the global Voice of the People) surveys carried out by Gallup International. Tony Blair and the Pakistani ambassador to UK each accepted a copy of Voice of the People) 2006 book
