Cricket Fever: Over the period of six years 14% less Pakistanis declare that they watched Asia Cup, 7% rise in those who state they did not watch any match.(GALLUP AND GILANI PAKISTAN)


According to a Gallup & Gilani Pakistan National Survey conducted in the year 2012 (06 years ago) respondents were asked, “Did you get a chance to watch any match of Asia Cup or not?” in response to this, 60% said yes while 40% said they did not watch any match from Asia Cup 2012.

Comparative Picture: The question was asked again in 2018 to enable a concrete comparison. In 2018, 46% said yes and 47% stated they did not get any chance to watch Asia Cup 2018 matches.

The findings are available since 2012 periodically and the graph below shows how the figures have fluctuated over the years.

According to public opinion, there has been a 14% decline in the proportion of Pakistanis who claim that they watched Asia Cup matches while there has been 7% rise in those who did not watch any match from Asia Cup this year.
